Crucial Questions About the Bible

The Bible is the foundation of our knowledge about the Christian faith. But can we trust it? In the last 200 years, the Bible has been challenged on a number of fronts, posing crucial questions that a Christian will encounter. Is the Bible true in all that it says? Does it contradict itself? Is it really inspired by the Holy Spirit? Can archaeology falsify its historical record? Are today’s translations just copies of copies of copies, and so on? Is the God of the Old Testament different from the God of the New Testament? Is the Bible accessible to everyone in the world today? This class explores foundational questions such as these, which every Christian ought to be able to answer in order to strengthen their commitment to the Bible, their confidence in it, and their encounters with God when reading it.
