When we get to heaven, we will praise the Lord with “new songs” (Revelation 14:3; Psalm 33:3). The songs and hymns today should serve as a worship preparation based upon sound and biblical interpretations doctrines (hermeneutics), allowing us to grow in discipleship. We will consider some of the top 10 hymns and ask participants to create a list of their favorite songs and hymns expressing underlying doctrines from the Bible. Singing and musicianship are not required since this is a fine arts appreciation course (aesthetics) about the connection between doctrines and the lyrics of worship music.
