God has woven the story of Israel deeply into the very fabric of His revelation to us. If we don’t understand Israel correctly, we won’t understand the Bible correctly. A better understanding of Israel sheds light on everything else in Scripture. The Land God promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is very disputed today, and Israel is frequently in the news. Is it possible this particular land had significance before Abraham’s time? God not only promised the land, but He promised that the Messiah would come from Israel. We will see that the major theme of the Old Testament is this coming Messiah. The Bible is always looking forward to a full and complete salvation, guaranteed by Jesus’ death on the cross and to be completed during His second coming. We will also examine the Jewishness of Christianity, the relationship between Israel and the church, the value of the remnant of Jewish believers today, and what God has in store for Israel in the future. Come see what a difference this course can make in your understanding of God’s Word and God’s plan.
