Men are invited to take part in our exciting upcoming 8-week Apologetics Study series starting August 17 led by Todd Cienski. The Study will focus on the foundations of the faith. This series provides you with a practical application to better understand Scripture covering the following topics:
- The connection between discipleship, evangelism, and apologetics
- Truth in Scripture, philosophy, history, and science
- Arguments for God
- Reliability of the scriptures
- The historical person of Jesus Christ
- The resurrection – the most significant event in human history
- The problem of evil and suffering
- Post-modern Christianity, pluralism, and modern thought
We will cover these topics and more as we seek to provide men with a better understanding of what we believe, why, and how to discuss it with others seeking the truth of Scripture and the hope of Christ. No registration is required to participate.
Todd Cienski was born in New York City. He was raised in a moral, Catholic home, served as an altar boy, and respected God. Todd attended and graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1978, where he was confronted multiple times with the gospel. He was born again in June of 1979 in Del Rio, Texas, through the witness of several classmates while a student in Air Force pilot training. Later, he met and married his wife Jo, in 1981, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They have five children and six grandchildren. Together, Todd and Jo homeschool their children and remain active in local and statewide home school organizations.
In July 2020, he completed a 33-year career with American Airlines. While an active pilot with AA, he attended and completed a master’s in theological studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017. He has served as a deacon and elder in the churches they have attended and as the Interim Pastor at Cashie Baptist Church in Windsor, North Carolina. Currently, Todd is a teacher at Discipleship University teaching “The Life of Jesus the Messiah,” a two-semester class studying the Lord’s life and ministry using the harmony of the gospels from a distinctively Jewish perspective. Previously, Todd has taught Way of the Master, Discipleship God’s Way, and Introduction to Christian Apologetics.
Todd and Jo have always desired and planned to serve Christ in the local church in whatever capacity He chooses and ultimately for His glory. They now live in Duncanville, Texas, and have been members of First Baptist Dallas since 2012.
