Men | Spring Bible Study
April 19 @ 6:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 10, 2023

Most men struggle in the battle between spirit and flesh. As Christ’s creations, we should understand that we are “new” and that the old things really are put away. We should continue to grow in understanding how God’s Word applies to our lives. Even so, we still question what the Bible says about specific topics.
In the spring of 2023, the Men’s Spring Study will discuss character-building and character-strengthening topics. In our series, “What does the Bible say about…?”, we will look specifically at what the Bible says about:
- Meditation/Prayer
- Fasting
- Study
- Simplicity
- Solitude
- Submission
- Service
- Confession
- Worship
- Giving
- Sharing our faith
- Purity
- Integrity
- Fruit of the Spirit
- Work vs. Works
We hope you will join us on January 11, 2023, on the 5th Floor of Criswell, room 509, as we journey through these character-building topics. The Wednesday night men’s Bible study also dedicates a portion of our time to prayer for the other brothers sitting near us. There is no cost to participate in the spring study.
Participants will be better prepared to join in the discussions if they have read the following:
- Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes
- The Heart of a Godly Man by Glenn Wagner
- Celebration of Discipline by Richard J. Foster
*Pre-reading is not required but will be beneficial for group discussions.
