All parents are encouraged to join us for Parenting Conference with David Thomas, LMSW.

Developing Spiritually as a Family | 9:30 – 10:30am | Truett Chapel REGISTER AM HERE

This class will break down Deuteronomy 6 as a roadmap for developing spiritually as a family. We’ll take a close look at three areas of instruction from this passage, and more importantly, how we practically integrate them into the daily-ness of our lives as a family, in this fast-paced world. This class will also look at the scientific link between spirituality and health, and the data around how kids are affected when they have a positive, active relationship with God. We’ll end with five easy practices any family can fold into the rhythm of their lives each week together. This class is for parents and grandparents of toddlers to young adults.

Kids Cove Leadership Meeting | 12:15pm | CenterStage

David will be spending time with our Kids Cove Ministry leaders during lunch.

Navigating the Emotional World of Children (or Kids and Emotions) | 5:30 – 7pm | CenterStage REGISTER PM HERE

This workshop will focus on understanding the emotional development of young children, the elements of emotion, and how they process feelings. We will also explore temperament as a foundation for understanding emotion and our calling to be good stewards of children’s emotional and spiritual well-being. Parents and educators will also be introduced to the concept of reading between the lines as a means of understanding emotion in a child’s behavior. The seminar will end with practical ideas for furthering a child’s emotional development.

Dinner will be provided for the adults and a sack supper will be provided for the kids. Meals are free!
