SUMMARY:Summer Reading Club for Children
DESCRIPTION:Dive into a good story this summer with the Truett Library Summer Reading Club! Children from toddlers–6th graders can visit the library to check out books/audiobooks\, read/listen\, and return them for a prize\, beginning Sunday\, June 2–23. For more information and to register\, come to Truett Library\, located under the Historic Sanctuary. There are so many wonderful stories to dive into and explore—how many will you have on your reading log? \nOur Summer Reading Club is more than just a fun and exciting time for children to earn prizes for their reading\, it’s an opportunity for parents to honor Ephesians 6:4b to “bring [their children] up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” and encourage them to think on the things Paul encourages us to dwell on in Philippians 4:8\, whatever is true\, honest\, just\, pure\, lovely\, of good report\, virtuous\, and praiseworthy. The goal of our reading club is that\, through each book\, children will learn more about Jesus\, come to faith in Him\, and learn to walk in biblical truth. Truett Library holds a wealth of literature in all genres for all ages\, so whether you have a child who wants to partake in our Summer Reading Club or you want to “dive into a good story” yourself\, come visit the library below the Historic Sanctuary!

SUMMARY:Sports | Ambassadors Soccer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Kids\, join us this summer\, June 4–8\, for a fun-filled week of soccer skills\, drills\, and games hosted by Ambassadors Soccer Organization! Kids will play daily from 9am to noon at the First Baptist Academy Football Field. \nAmbassadors’ soccer camps are designed to give developing players an opportunity to learn basic and advanced skills in a fun\, positive\, and encouraging Christian environment. The week concludes with individual competitions and the highly anticipated “World-Cup” tournament. \nThe coaching staff is comprised of experienced coaches and players with national and international backgrounds. All of the head coaches are committed to Christ and great with children. In addition to the soccer experience\, the mentor-coaches provide daily life related “team-talks” geared towards communicating the life-changing principles found in God’s Word. To learn more information about Ambassador’s soccer\, please visit their website\, or watch their promotional video. \nBoys and girls at all levels from ages 4–12 can join us for the early bird price of $100 per camper before March 15\, which includes world-class instruction\, a t-shirt\, and awards and a party after camp on Saturday.
