SUMMARY:Summer Reading Club for Children
DESCRIPTION:Dive into a good story this summer with the Truett Library Summer Reading Club! Children from toddlers–6th graders can visit the library to check out books/audiobooks\, read/listen\, and return them for a prize\, beginning Sunday\, June 2–23. For more information and to register\, come to Truett Library\, located under the Historic Sanctuary. There are so many wonderful stories to dive into and explore—how many will you have on your reading log? \nOur Summer Reading Club is more than just a fun and exciting time for children to earn prizes for their reading\, it’s an opportunity for parents to honor Ephesians 6:4b to “bring [their children] up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” and encourage them to think on the things Paul encourages us to dwell on in Philippians 4:8\, whatever is true\, honest\, just\, pure\, lovely\, of good report\, virtuous\, and praiseworthy. The goal of our reading club is that\, through each book\, children will learn more about Jesus\, come to faith in Him\, and learn to walk in biblical truth. Truett Library holds a wealth of literature in all genres for all ages\, so whether you have a child who wants to partake in our Summer Reading Club or you want to “dive into a good story” yourself\, come visit the library below the Historic Sanctuary!

DESCRIPTION:Kids Camp is an exciting adventure from June 9–12 for children completing 2nd-6th grades! \nKids will have the best summer ever during four transformative days at Carolina Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville. Our children will enjoy faith\, fun\, and friendships with engaging Bible study\, incredible worship\, exciting recreation\, theme nights\, and more. Your kids will spend the week meeting new friends and\, more importantly\, growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ! \nWe filter everything your kids experience through biblical truth—from our dramas\, games\, and recreation\, to sermons\, quiet time\, and Bible studies. We pray they will return home understanding that Jesus invites us to follow Him\, and when we follow Him\, we live differently as a result. \nCost is $395 per camper. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a time of great fun and fellowship with our Summer Pickleball league on Monday and Thursday evenings. Cost is $50 per team. Games will be played in the Wicker Gym at First Baptist Dallas. To get there\, park in the Horner Garage on any floor\, take the south elevators to the 6th floor\, then the gym will be on your left out of the elevators. \nOur MONDAY league is for mixed doubles and begins Monday\, June 3.
