SUMMARY:Hog Hunt
DESCRIPTION:All First Dallas men\, along with their fathers\, sons\, or friends\, are invited to join our annual weekend Hog Hunt\, offered April 28.19. \nREGISTER HERE \nThank you for joining us for a hog hunt in the heart of West Texas. We’ll be hunting in Carbon and staying in Eastland\, which is just a short ten-minute drive away. The hunting style will be stalking at night with thermals. The guides will divide the group into two teams. Each team will drive to separate fields looking for hogs. The guides have a couple of thermals for each group. If you have your own night vision\, green light\, or thermal you are encouraged to bring it! \nPlease note that the fee is just for the hunting portion. \nYou will need to reserve your own room in Eastland. The La Quinta and the Holiday Inn Express are good options. \nWe will meet at the Community Baptist Church  in Carbon at 3PM on Friday\, April 18. They have an outdoor pavilion and a kitchen. Our team will prepare a late lunch\, so that everyone can eat prior to the hunt that evening. Around 5:30PM\, we’ll head to the field to hunt before it gets dark\, once the light is gone\, we’ll move from field to field. Depending on success\, we’ll hunt into the early hours of the night. \nWhen: April 18-19\, 2025 \nWhere: Eastland\, Texas \nCost: $125 p/person \nMeeting Location: Community Baptist Church in Carbon\, Texas \n*Please reserve your own room in Eastland\, Texas. \n*Lunch will be provided before the hunt Friday evening \nWHAT TO BRING? \n\nRifle with a .223 round or larger\, scope\, and either night vision/thermal or green light\nAmmunition\nSnacks\nBoots (there are snakes)\nLong pants\n\nIf you have any questions\, please email sports@firstdallas.org \n
