SUMMARY:Students | Camp '22
DESCRIPTION:Glorieta Conference Center \nAt Glorieta Conference Center\, what better place to discover God’s word than in the heart of His natural creation? Whether you enjoy running\, biking\, swimming\, or rock climbing (or all four)\, there is endless potential in these mountains for a wide range of adventures. In addition to our vast acreage\, these camp facilities consist of over 100 buildings on the property for sleeping\, eating\, meeting\, worship\, and playing. Glorieta is built for you to have the best possible summer camp experience! From the well-equipped common areas and sunny courtyards to Coffee Shops and retail areas\, you’ll find groups playing games\, deep in discussion\, or quietly studying. Take a short walk to the Firehouse and challenge your friends to a game of air hockey or an impromptu sing-along. Or head over to the Gypsie Wagon for a quick snack. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a spot on campus where campers aren’t gathered. Just a short walk away from the dining hall\, Coffee Shop\, sports courts\, trails\, and games fields\, there’s never a long hike to find a gathering place or activities. \nCampus Activities: \n• lake with slides\, aqua jump\, ziplines\, and more! \n• coffee and snack shops \n• soccer fields \n• daily tournaments \nThe speaker\, Jason Cook \nJason was born and raised in Birmingham\, AL before moving to Suwanee\, GA where he would graduate from North Gwinnett High School. Upon graduation\, Jason signed a football scholarship at The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where he would be a 4-year starter and 4-year letter winner at Fullback. \nJason came to saving faith around 8 years old\, but it was not until his sophomore year at Ole Miss when he began to walk faithfully with Jesus. In 2009 Jason enjoyed a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens through the pre-season before embracing his call to ministry. \nJason has a history of starting and sustaining multi-ethnic churches and movements. He strategically helped to plant Iron City Church (Birmingham\, AL)\, and for 5 years helped sustain\, grow\, and nurture the multi-ethnic church through Fellowship Memphis (TN). In God’s providence\, He has allowed Jason to live in four major southern cities that were prominent in the Civil Rights movement and be a part of multi-ethnic movements/churches in each one of them. \nJason holds an M.Div from Beeson Divinity School\, where he also serves on the Advisory Board. During the time at Beeson\, he and Courtney met and were married. They have three children: Charlie (7)\, Cager (5)\, and Boss (22 months). \nThe Cook’s live and breathe discipleship\, hospitality\, and service and look to infuse those life pillars in Atlanta. \nThe band\, The Museum \nAfter beginning in 2008\, The Museum garnered some national and international attention with their debut album “Let Love Win” which released in July of 2010. The successful debut landed at #7 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and quickly showed the band was here to stay.   On the heels of two successful top 10 singles in  “My Help Comes From the Lord”  and “Allelujah” the band launched a busy tour schedule that has seen them play over 600 dates in their first five years of existence. \nThe Museum strives to impact this generation by leading people to encounter Jesus Christ in worship through music. This vision was born out of the local church and guided by the call in Micah 6:8 to act justly\, love mercy and walk humbly with our God. As Christ followers and musicians we want to craft songs and lead worship experiences that inspire people to live a life of worship. Our hope is that our worship would never be confined to the walls of a church\, but would lead us to serve the world around us and love people in the way Christ has called us to. \n  \nREGISTER HERE\nPAYMENTS\n  \nFirst Dallas Medical and Liability Release \nGlorieta Waiver \nSummer Camp 2022 Parent Information Meeting Packet \nCamp Scholarship Application
