DESCRIPTION:Our Guatemala Medical & VBS Mission Trip Informational will be January 22 & February 5 at 12:30pm in CC401. \nOur First Dallas Medical & VBS Team will be traveling to Comitancillo Guatemala to provide basic medical care and to minister to kids through Vacation Bible School. Both teams will share the Gospel and many will come to believe in Christ as their Savior. Our team is equipped with medical supplies and will see over a hundred people a day. Our VBS team is able to communicate the Gospel through teaching\, arts\, crafts\, and music to hundreds of kids. Their talented family of six plays a wide range of instruments like the banjo\, guitar\, bassist\, mandolinist\, and fiddle. Plus\, their youngest musician is only 16 years old. As believers of Jesus Christ\, they specialize in sacred and bluegrass tunes. \nCost is $20 for each adult\, and $5 for kids ages five through 12. Families\, bring your children to witness these incredible\, young musicians. This is a great opportunity to spark musical interest in your kids! DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be able to offer a martial arts ministry at First Dallas by partnering with Yujin Han\, a member at FBD\, and the owner of Han United TKD. Our goal is to use martial arts to help every individual become all that God has created\, called\, and gifted them to be. \nMaster Yujin Han is the head of Grandmaster Han’s Tae Kwon Do World Youn Wha Ryu Association (WYWRA). He is a 6th Dan Black Belt and Master in Tae Kwon Do. He is a WYWRA Certified Instructor with over twenty years of experience teaching the martial arts. He also holds a Master of Theology (ThM) from Dallas Theological Seminary and serves as the Director of the Classical Conversations Campus at First Baptist Dallas. \nWHAT TO EXPECT: \n\nStyle: Grandmaster Han’s World Youn Wha Ryu Tae Kwon Do\nBiblical Worldview based on six principles: Be Patient\, Be Polite\, Be Alert\, Be Brave\, Do Your Best\, Respect Yourself and Others. Throughout classes\, the instructor will provide spiritual lessons using the analogy of martial arts.\nFamily-Centered Training: Families are encouraged to train with their children.\nTwo Types of Classes:\n\nRegular Classes: These classes are for everyone young and old\, fit and unfit\, experienced and inexperienced in the martial arts. 6:30-7:30pm\nTrainer Classes: This opportunity is only for mature teens and adults who would like to assist the main instructor in teaching the regular class. 7:35-8:15pm\n\n\n\nHAN UNITED GUIDELINES: \n\nAt least one parent must train with any student under twelve years old.\nAll students must wear an approved martial arts uniform with the Han Symbol and the required patches properly sown onto the uniform.\nAll students must complete and agree to the online sign-up. All students must complete and sign the liability waiver forms from First Baptist Dallas (available in class).\nAll students must subscribe to pay monthly via Paypal for classes\nStudents may only test for belt advancement if invited to do so by Master Han.\nOnly mature teens and adults may be Trainers. DESCRIPTION:Coach Joe Kennedy is coming to First Baptist Dallas on Sunday\, February 19 for a live interview with Dr. Robert Jeffress during both services. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear how the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Coach Kennedy and his First Amendment right by praying after a football game.  \nCoach Joe Kennedy\, an 18-year Marine veteran\, was an assistant coach for the Bremerton High School (BHS) varsity football team. Before he even coached his first game\, the Marine-turned-football coach made a commitment to God that he would give thanks at the conclusion of each game for what the players had accomplished and for the opportunity to be part of their lives through football. This was met with disapproval from his school district and turned into a lengthy court battle. On June 27\, 2022\, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Coach Kennedy and his First Amendment right. He looks forward to being reinstated and returning to the field. Joe and his wife\, Denise\, are parents to four and currently reside in Pensacola. A film inspired by his life is in development. He continues to speak across the country\, promoting freedom of speech.

Ricky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Pre-Law\, a Master of Arts in Religious Education\, is an ordained minister\, and has taught at seminaries\, colleges\, and universities in addition to speaking throughout the US and abroad. While serving as executive director\, Ricky concurrently serves on the pastoral staff at First Baptist Church\, Arlington\, TX as an ordained pastor. \nOver his more than 30 years in ministry\, Ricky has vast experience speaking to and journeying with thousands of men\, women\, and friends and family of those struggling with gender and identity confusion. Ricky enjoys traveling\, cooking\, painting\, writing\, reading\, and seeing people’s lives transformed by Jesus. His real passions are teaching the word of God\, serving the church and her people\, and hosting folks at his house for his personally prepared gourmet meals. Ricky was joyously married for 30 years to the late Merlinda Allen Chelette\, who went to be with the Lord in April 2019.

We will have two teams playing on the same night\, in both a competitive and recreational division. \nNot sure which division to sign-up for?  \nThe competitive division will consist of players who have had experience in playing competitive baseball in high school and beyond\, can play multiple positions\, or have multiple years’ experience in competitive softball. \nRecreational players are new to the game or and have some experience at playing the sport but prefer a more laid back environment. \nEach player must have their own glove.
