Fruitful and Multiply (FAM)

The FAM (“Fruitful And Multiplying”) class at First Dallas is for young families. Our class is made up primarily of married couples in their 20s and 30s (with a few creeping into their 40s) who have children ranging from newborns to elementary school-aged. On Sunday mornings, you’ll find us fellowshipping from 9:15-9:30 before we lead into a brief announcement time to hear about upcoming events that are particularly relevant to our class members. Then, our teacher, Jeff Swigart, leads us in a lesson that engages the group in class-wide discussions and often includes additional relevant discussion questions for us to cover in smaller groups at our tables.

Jeff Swigart

Jeff grew up in a small rural town and attended a Baptist church where he was saved, learned to follow Christ, and would later pastor. Jeff’s passion for teaching stems from his own desire to understand Scripture comprehensively and to grapple with difficult questions of Biblical wisdom and faith. Jeff and his wife Jenna have been married nearly 25 years, homeschool their three teenagers, and have always been actively involved in church life and ministry. As an intellectual property litigator, Jeff relies on his multidisciplinary background in electrical engineering, ministry, and law to distill difficult concepts into simple terms, and he leverages that same skillset to help young families navigate the complexities of leading godly homes in a broken world.
