Unite in prayer as a church family for the 73rd annual National Day of Prayer. On Thursday, May 2, we will “Lift Up the Word and Light Up the World.” Truett Chapel will be open from 8:30am–5pm as a come-and-go prayer space, then at 12pm, our Pastoral Care team will guide us in specific prayers at a special service. We will provide you with a prayer guide, so come as long as you’d like to pray for one another, our church, our families, our nation, and our world.

About National Day of Prayer:
In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress, signed by President Truman, declared an annual national day of prayer. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May. Each year, the president signs a proclamation, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.

“For You are my lamp, LORD; and the LORD illuminates my darkness. For by You I can run at a troop of warriors; by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is blameless; the word of the LORD is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.” –2 Samuel 22:29–31
