An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until December 18, 2024
First Dallas recognizes the importance of Bible study in a woman’s life, and we know that women need fellowship, prayer, and encouragement to live in obedience to God’s Word, which is why we offer Women’s Bible study!
This year, we will be going through a study written by our First Dallas Women’s Teaching Team called Dawning of the Divine Story: A Study of Genesis, where we will look at where God’s redemptive work all began. Join us each week on Tuesdays at 10:15am in Wicker Gym, Wednesdays at 6:30pm in Lovvorn Hall, or Sundays at 5:30pm in HFC 716 for a powerful lesson from our Teaching Team, interactive Bible study, discipleship, mentoring, fellowship, and fun!
We want to invite women of all ages from all walks of life: young or old, married or single, with or without children, new to the Christian life or those who have been Christians for many years, Bible experts and those who are just beginning to explore the Bible. When you come to WBS, you will find a welcoming atmosphere and will learn that other women have similar joys and struggles to share; we will study a passage together and recognize there is truth to impact our lives. Because our focus is God’s Word, you can be certain that you will grow in your faith and you will become a woman who knows the Lord in a deeper way—and that will impact all your relationships. Come and gather around the table, get to know women who live in your area of town, study alongside a woman with similar interests, meet a new friend, and expect to be loved and encouraged!

More About Dawning of the Divine Story
From eternity past, the omnipotent, triune Creator God had a wonderful story written through time and space. A perfect Author, He began this divine story with a breath, speaking all of heaven, earth, and space into existence. Light pierced a dark nothingness, and a garden bloomed from the chaotic deep. It was good. Out of an overflow of love, God formed man and woman as caretakers and image-bearers and walked in perfect communion with them. But it wasn’t long before one antagonist and one act of disobedience corrupted God’s good creation, triggering a downward spiral toward death and destruction.
This did not surprise the Creator. In His infinite sovereignty and omniscience, He had a master metanarrative in mind—one that begins in a garden and ends in a garden, weaving through the faith of fallen men and women, climaxing at Calvary, and is still being written today. No, this familiar story of creation and separation was not a surprise. It was merely the first glimpse into the dawning of the divine story.
In this study of Genesis, follow the “Dawning of the Divine Story” as we walk through creation, covenants, and all the stories of God’s grace in between, watching the gospel bloom through God and His chosen people.
