One Life Sunday School

We are asking all adult Sunday School classes to teach a special lesson on Sunday, March 19 about the One Life initiative of our church. The lesson is intended to help each class look together at the biblical and theological basis for why we engage in outreach and evangelism as Christians. The lesson will cover 2 Corinthians 5:17–21. The major action point for everyone is to identify one person who you can pray for and invite to church. One Life is a practical, simple way to fulfill our mission of transforming the world with God’s Word one life at a time.

We have prepared some resources to help you as you prepare to teach this lesson and discuss these foundational truths of our faith. We have created a leader guide that gives a sample lesson outline, notes on the passage and its context, as well as suggested discussion points and questions. We have also provided some sample slides and handouts. You can use them as is, or you can edit and make them your own. We have also filmed a model lesson in which Ryland Whitehorn teaches through all of this material. Watching this can offer guidance, give you ideas, and encourage you as you prepare to teach this lesson yourself on Sunday, March 19. The video begins with a brief word for you from Ben Lovvorn.
