Serve Dallas

Serve Dallas is a churchwide opportunity to gather and make a difference in our community by serving through our local mission partners. In just one day, volunteers experience a little bit of what our local partners do every day, giving each volunteer a greater appreciation for what our mission partners do. Serving is truly a privilege, and as a church, we count it an absolute honor to be able to serve our city.

We are excited to be able to partner with Children’ Hunger Fund beginning on Sunday, April 19th.
In addition to Serve Dallas with Children’s Hunger Fund, one of our annual projects is filling food packs for Children’s Hunger Fund. See the details below on how you can help fight childhood hunger here in DFW.
CHILDREN’S HUNGER FUND FOOD PAK PROJECT:
For three weeks following Serve Dallas, we are hosting a Project Food Pak drive to provide food for undernourished children in the DFW area. Starting April 19th-May 3rd, food packs will be available for pick-up on the Skybridge and in the Criswell Lobby.
FILLING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Take the food pak box (inside includes 4 food packs)
- Fill them with the enclosed shopping list
RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
- Return them to First Baptist Dallas in the Criswell Lobby by the fountain by May 6th.
- Please do not try to carry the filled food pack to the CC lobby. Pull into the half circle drive at 1707 San Jacinto and drop-off your food pack.
- We will have volunteers there before Sunday school and in between services to help assist those dropping off a food pack.
The cost to fill a food pack is around $50, with a recommended $5 processing fee donation.
**Please stick to the food items list inside the box. Please do not ADD or SUBTRACT items.
FOOD PAK ONLINE OPTION:
If finding time to fill the food pack is an issue, you can still fill a pack online by clicking here: https://childrenshungerfund.org/give/
- Click “Give Now” and please make sure to enter First Baptist Dallas as the organization you are participating through.
