Psalm 127:1 warns that “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Many mothers are in the building stages of their homes, desiring not just a house but a godly home. Proverbs 14:1 says, “The wise woman builds her house but with her own hands, the foolish woman tears hers down.”
Do you need to build your home from the foundation up or just remodel a few rooms? The wise woman must intentionally initiate activities in each room that will contribute to godly living, or the activities will default to the cultural standard of the day. This course will go through a house, room by room, using Scripture to focus on family activities. Building or remodeling involves planning, decision-making, and work. Come prepared to work with biblical principles to build your godly homes. The course will continue in the spring semester of DU. By the end of the year, it is the hope that the testimonies will echo Proverbs 24:3, “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”
