Impact,

Reaching the World for Jesus Christ

By First Dallas Staff

For almost 10 years, MEDIAlliance International has been building up Christian media leaders around the world through training, mentoring, and encouraging those using media to share the gospel of Jesus. The ministry is currently working with leaders and ministries in over 40 countries and is expanding with international offices in Asia, Europe, and South America.

Thousands have been trained in regional conferences and workshops to use today’s media tools more effectively to reach the unreached. The primary message is the story of God’s great love for all and salvation for those who put their trust and hope in Jesus.

The ministries served by MEDIAlliance directly connect with over 50 million people. Their broadcast and internet programming is making the gospel accessible to over a half billion people who otherwise would have little or no access to God’s Word. Most ministries served by MEDIAlliance are in countries where the evangelical population is less than 2%… often far less. Thailand’s evangelical population is 0.07%. Turkey has only about 6,000 Turkish Christians in a country of over 80 million. Media becomes the most effective way to proclaim God’s Truth to those who need to hear of salvation through Jesus Christ in countries like these.

MEDIAlliance is led by its founder, Dr. Ron Harris. He has over 55 years of broadcast and media experience, including radio, television, church media, and teaching. Dr. Harris was recently named to the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Also serving MEDIAlliance is Kyle Gilbert, Vice President for Communications. Kyle has over 20 years of experience in church media, serving churches in Texas and Tennessee. He also teaches church media as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University.

Recent conferences held by MEDIAlliance International include Recife, Brazil in 2022, Kyiv, Ukraine in 2021, and Bangkok, Thailand in 2019. Other training conferences have been held in India, Egypt, and Romania.

In Thailand, over 400 participated in various television, church media, and social media workshops. It was the first time for such a gathering.

The Brazil conference held in September 2022 was also a first-time event, with over 100 from over a dozen churches and ministries around Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. The teaching team consisted of media professionals from the US and Brazil.

Before the war in Ukraine, MEDIAlliance held its fourth media conference in Kyiv with over 150 participating in person or online. The city was still under COVID-19 protocols that closed down public transportation and prevented many to attend in person. One of those in attendance was later killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In partnership with First Baptist Dallas, MEDIAlliance is working on strategies with other ministries, such as First Baptist Dallas, WorldLink, and Great Commission Media Ministries, to rebuild the lives of those who have experienced the trauma of war. Ukrainian Christian leaders tell of many who are seeking to know more about Jesus and those who are committing their lives to Christ during these challenging days of war in their land. After the war is over, First Dallas, MEDIAlliance International, and these other ministries will work alongside Ukrainian Christians to bring renewed hope and revival to the hearts of God’s people in that part of the world.

MEDIAlliance International is grateful for the privilege of partnership to extend the reach and impact of the gospel globally.
