Closer to Heaven | A Minnesota Couple’s Journey to First Baptist Dallas

Ollie Skurdahl, and his wife, Barb, are from Crosslake, Minnesota, but they have found their home away from home at First Baptist Dallas through the iCampus platform. They had been searching for a lively and authentic Christian community. They found that in Dr. Jeffress’s passionate, intelligent, fearless teaching and the incredible worship at First Dallas.

The Skurdahls first discovered our church through Pathway to Victory until the Lord directed them to watch our streaming service through our iCampus. After being contacted by Paul Rogers, one of our iCampus volunteers, they eagerly desired to serve in this growing online community as Remote Hosts. But this year, they felt a stirring in their hearts that compelled them to make the journey to Dallas to attend Palm Sunday morning and evening services in person.
