October 1, 2023

Discover the truth about Christianity at First Baptist Dallas on Sunday, October 1. Join us for an unforgettable day of worship, inspiration, and thought-provoking discussions at our highly anticipated service—”The Case for Christianity” with Lee Strobel! It will be a Sunday you won’t want to miss.

We are honored to have Lee Strobel, a former investigative journalist and atheist-turned-Christian, as our featured guest speaker. Strobel’s personal journey and profound insights will inspire, challenge, and sharpen you, providing a unique perspective on faith and spirituality.

After the service, stay for a complimentary lunch, where you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a thought-provoking Q&A session with Lee Strobel and Dr. Jeffress. This is your chance to listen to discussions about Christianity, faith, and religion, gain profound insights, and not be afraid to ask even your toughest questions.

Plus, we have an incredible lineup of musical guests leading worship. In the Worship Center, we are thrilled to welcome the Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning band, the Newsboys, who will lead worship alongside the First Dallas Choir & Orchestra. Then, in the Historic Sanctuary, leading worship is the acclaimed Benjamin William Hastings, a Dove Award-winning artist known for his touching and soul-stirring song “So Will I.”

Sunday, October 1 is a Sunday designed for you! Whether you’ve been a lifelong believer or have never stepped foot into a church before, we hope you join us for this special day, and we cannot wait to welcome you.

Lee Strobel

Atheist-turned-Christian Lee Strobel, the former award-winning legal editor of The Chicago Tribune, is a New York Times best-selling author of more than forty books, including The Case for Christ and The Case for Christianity. Described in the Washington Post as “one of the evangelical community’s most popular apologists,” Strobel’s remarkable testimony has impacted millions of people. After his education studying Journalism at the University of Missouri and Law at Yale Law School, he was a journalist for fourteen years at The Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, winning Illinois’ highest honors for both investigative reporting and public service journalism from United Press International. Using his skills and experience as an investigative journalist, Strobel probed the evidence for Jesus for nearly two years before becoming a Christian.

After coming to faith, he served as a teaching pastor at three different churches and hosted the national network TV program, Faith Under Fire. He currently serves as Founding Director of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University.

Lee Strobel and his wife, Leslie, have been married fifty years and have two grown children.
