Upward Basketball and Cheer

Young athletes of all skill levels are welcome to participate in our Upward Sports league for basketball and cheerleading. Our coaches and volunteers invest not only in helping children learn and improve their mental and physical abilities, but also guide them to grow spiritually by learning the values of discipline, good sportsmanship, and being an encouragement to others. (And of course, they’ll have fun!)

K4-3rd Grade Evaluation/Coaches Draft | Saturday, January 17 | 10:00-11:00AM

4th-6th Grade Evaluation/Coaches Draft | Saturday, January 17 | 11:15AM-12:15PM

**All Evaluations will be held in the Wicker Gym at First Baptist Dallas

PRACTICE:

• Each team will have one practice per week
• Practice will be on Saturdays, then each team will play a game following practice
• Practice times TBD

BASKETBALL PRACTICE/GAME TIMES: Once we know how many teams, we will create practice and game schedules.

• K4-1st grade will practice/play morning
• 2^nd-3rd grade will practice/play mid-morning to afternoon
• 4^th-6th grade will practice/play early afternoon

 

CHEER PRACTICE/GAME TIMES:

• K4-2^nd grade will practice/cheer mid-morning to afternoon
• 3^rd-6^th grade will practice/cheer early afternoon

Once we know how many teams, we will create practice and game schedules.

 

END OF SEASON PARTY:

• All players and their families will be invited to attend.
