The McLaughlin class features a lecture teaching style. This class dives deep into God’s Word each week and comes out with a practical understanding of daily life. They enjoy many opportunities for fellowship throughout the year, usually involving food. They have a full buffet breakfast every Sunday.
The class teacher, Dr. Harvey Solganick, was born into a Jewish family in New York and became a Christian under the preaching ministry of Dr. W.A. Criswell. Dr. Solganick has written the book Lessons from C. S. Lewis and is formerly a professor of humanities and philosophy at L. R. Scarborough College at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He also serves as an adjunct professor at LeTourneau University, Dallas Baptist University, Criswell College, and Richland College. He and his wife, Elaine, make their home here in Dallas.
