When people think about historical events, they tend to focus on the outbreak of wars and natural disasters, on stock market fluctuations, and election results. But we know these are passing things. Real, eternal change happens one life at a time. C.S. Lewis put it this way, “There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilization—these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat.”

Church we are excited to introduce to you the ONE LIFE 2022 Ministry Impact Report from First Baptist Dallas!

As you read through the pages of this report, you will find no ordinary people. Every church member, every guest, and every viewer is an immortal soul headed toward one of two eternal destinies. This is at stake in every event we plan, every broadcast we stream, and every dollar we spend. The church’s mission is perpetually urgent because it is a mission for people— people who are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), who are fashioned in God’s image (Genesis 1:26), and who will live forever (Matthew 25:46).

The ONE LIFE Impact Report looks both at the scale of our ministry’s reach and its impact on individual people. We want to help you discover some of the people who make up the numbers we report each year. We want to tell their stories. Through each story, we get a small glimpse of the vast work God is doing in and through the church, as He empowers First Baptist Dallas to accomplish our mission to transform our world with God’s Word…one life at a time.
